About Professor Pier Lambiase
Prof Pier Lambiase is Professor of Cardiology at UCL & Barts Heart Centre - graduated from Oxford University in 1992 and trained at St Georges Hospital, London & the Hammersmith Hospital. He undertook a PhD at St Thomas’ Hospital & was awarded the British Cardiac Society Young Investigator Award in 2002, BCS Michael Davies Award 2016. He has published over 300 research papers and co-written international guidelines on treating heart rhythm disorders. He is an editor for 5 journals including European Heart Journal. He has pioneered the use of the subcutaneous defibrillator & has a special interest in inherited heart rhythm diseases.
Hobbies include cycling, swimming, kyaking & scuba diving.
