Which conditions do you specialise in?

Information about the medical and surgical services offered at Cleveland Clinic London hospital and outpatient facilities can be found on our Clinical Institutes page.

How do I book an appointment?

If you are booking an appointment either on behalf of yourself of someone else, all information can be found on our Book an Appointment page.

What is the difference between outpatient, inpatient and day-case?

If you have an appointment but do not need to stay overnight, you're being treated as an outpatient or a day-case patient. An outpatient may be having an appointment for a diagnosis or treatment, while a patient who comes in for a more involved procedure is referred to as a day-case. Inpatient care requires the patient to stay in hospital overnight.

How do I choose a consultant?

We offer teams of expert consultants, many of whom are leaders in their fields. You can find the GP or consultant that’s right for your healthcare needs by using our Find a Consultant Tool.

How do I pay for my treatment?

You have a variety of options when it comes to paying for your visit to Cleveland Clinic London — you may be using private health insurance, choose to self-pay or be funded by a sponsorship. For more information about payment options, please visit our Payment Information page.

How quickly can I be seen?

We are often able to provide appointments at short notice, sometimes on the same day. Please contact us to discuss your needs and we will offer an appointment as soon as possible.

Do I need a referral from my GP to see a consultant?

You can book an appointment without a referral. However, you might consider seeing a GP before your initial specialist consultation. Your GP can guide you to the right type of specialist for your needs.

If you’re using private medical insurance, please check with your insurer before booking an appointment. Most insurers will require a GP referral to authorise treatment. If you would like to receive a referral from a Cleveland Clinic London GP, our Contact Centre can assist you.
