About Dr Ari Johar
Dr Ari Johar earned his medical degree (MBChB) from Bristol University in 1994 and completed his postgraduate training in London hospitals, including Royal Free and Charing Cross. He achieved dual accreditation in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine in 2008, and became a consultant at Royal Free Hospital in 2009. Joining Cleveland Clinic London in 2024, he provides medical services to surgical patients in trauma, orthopaedics, digestive health, and neurosurgery.
A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians since 2016, he belongs to several professional societies, including the International Movement Disorder Society. Dr. Johar specialises in assessing conditions for adults, particularly those with multiple morbidities, chronic diseases, and frailty syndromes. His interests include Parkinson’s disease, falls, frailty, cardiovascular health, and bone health.
He has led clinical roles in Parkinson’s disease and trauma care, and managed a multidisciplinary community team in Brent. He promotes a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to holistic care. He is also active in educating and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
