About Professor Luigi Camporota
Dr Luigi Camporota is a consultant Consultant Intensivist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and Reader (Associate Professor) at King’s College London at School of Basic & Medical Biosciences, in the Centre for Human & Applied Physiological Sciences (CHAPS).
Dr Camporota is also chair of the Acute respiratory failure section of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM).
His research interest is in mechanical ventilation in ARDS, imaging and extracorporeal support (ECMO) in severe respiratory and cardiac failure. He has been co-investigator in several multi-national collaborative research and clinical projects for the diagnosis and management of ventilated critically ill patients.
