About Dr George Amin-Youssef

Dr George Amin-Youssef is a fellowship trained specialist Consultant Cardiologist with over 20 years’ experience in complex cardiac disease. He specialises in heart failure and is a senior consultant in one of the largest heart failure units in the U.K. He deals with both systolic and diastolic heart failure with different underlying causes, such as coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and heart muscle disease.

Dr Amin-Youssef is a fully accredited imaging consultant with an interest in echocardiography and provides the entire range of echocardiographic imaging. His expertise includes trans-thoracic echocardiography (TTE), trans-oesophageal echocardiography (TOE), exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography looking at myocardial viability and reversibility, contrast imaging and bubble echocardiograms.

Dr Amin-Youssef is involved in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings for heart failure, valvular disease, coronary artery disease and infective endocarditis, to ensure evidenced-based care and clinical excellence.

He has a special interest in Cardio-Oncology, cardiac investigations and assessment of patients presenting with cerebral vascular stroke.

Dr Amin-Youssef is also part of the infective endocarditis team at King's College Hospital.
