About Dr Bobby Huda
Dr Huda is a Consultant Endocrinologist with his current NHS base at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospitals, Barts Health NHS trust. He trained at the University of Liverpool, and completed his specialist training at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation trust and Kings College Hospital. He was appointed a prestigious National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Lecturer role at King's College London from 2011-2013 and continues as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London.
His main clinical specialist interests include all forms of diabetes, insulin pumps, antenatal diabetes and obesity management using the latest medications. He has active research interests in gestational diabetes, and is currently co-applicant on two 2 million pound grants. He sits on various regional committees for type 1 diabetes and pregnancy, and has previously provided specialist input for NICE.
He also provides medico-legal reports for all cases involving diabetes, specifically around diabetes foot, inpatient diabetes and diabetes in pregnancy. He has a 70/30 defendant/claimant split, writing 4-5 reports a year since 2018.
