Biography & Education
About Dr Ian Webb
Dr Ian Webb graduated from Oxford University Medical School in 2000, with an additional intercalated 1st Class Honors degree in Physiology and Pharmacology.
Dr Webb trained in General Internal Medicine and Cardiology in London and South-East England, followed by sub-specialty fellowships in Coronary and Structural intervention at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and King’s College Hospital in London.
He is a former British Heart Foundation Research Fellow and undertook his PhD in molecular cardiology at The Rayne Institute, King's College London (2006-2010). He was then awarded a Boston Scientific Interventional Fellowship to train in Wellington, New Zealand (2012).
Dr Webb was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at King’s College Hospital in 2013, where he is currently Director of the Cardiac Catheter Labs. Since 2018, he has additionally served as a visiting Interventional Cardiologist on staff at Guy's and St Thomas’ Hospitals.
Dr Webb consults on all aspects of cardiology, from chest pain evaluation and cardiovascular risk assessment, through to valvular disease, cardiomyopathies and arrhythmia screening.
