About Professor Raj Bhattacharya
Professor Raj Bhattacharya is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Professor of Surgery at Cleveland Clinic London and Clinical Director at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust & North West London Major Trauma Centre. He is Past President of the Orthopaedic Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, London and acts as Advisor to Parliament and Health Ombudsman of UK. He is Fellow of the Austria, Swiss & German Orthopaedic Association, Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College and UK Faculty for American College of Surgeons (ACS)-UK Acute Care Emergency Surgery & Trauma Program.
Professor Bhattacharya is a knee specialist, focussing on non-operative and operative treatment of knee conditions, including sports injuries, ligament reconstructions, as well as total and partial knee replacements (including robotic assisted techniques). He has authored several book chapters and published over 80 articles, including in prestigious journals like Nature group of publications and JAMA.
