About Dr Dipa Jayaseelan

Dr Dipa Jayaseelan is a Consultant Neurologist specialising in Neuromuscular disease. Her NHS practice is based at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) and West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS trust. She co-leads the nationally commissioned Highly Specialised Services in Muscle Channelopathies. She also runs clinics in neuromuscular transition both at NHNN and Great Ormond Street Hospital as well as managing the only specialist Kennedy's clinic in the UK.

Dr Jayaseelan treats patients with a variety of neurological conditions including muscle disorders, nerve conditions, headaches, seizures and problems with weakness and numbness.

Dr Jayaseelan has a PhD from the UCL Institute of Neurology in Neuromuscular disease. She is involved in a number of clinical trials and has numerous publications with a specialist interest in channelopathies. She is also an Honorary Lecturer at University College London. She completed her undergraduate studies at Cambridge University with an MA in Neurosciences. and her postgraduate medical training at the Royal Free and University College Medical School with a distinction in clinical practice.
