About Professor Dorota Dworakowska

Professor Dorota Dworakowska has a broad clinical practise in endocrinology, diabetes, obesity and general medicine.

Her special interest includes oncological endocrinology (lumps/nodules of thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, adrenals), cardiovascular endocrinology (hypertension, pre-diabetes, hyperinsulinemia, lipids, PCOS) and antenatal endocrinology (thyroid/prolactin problems before/during IVF and pregnancy).

She completed her training in endocrinology and diabetes in the UK (Barts & the London Hospital, Kings College Hospital, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital), whereas training in general/internal medicine in Poland (Medical University of Gdansk) and Germany (Otto-von-Guericke University, Magdeburg; Katharinen Hospital, Stuttgart).

Professor Dworakowska worked as a Consultant Physician in Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetes at Kings College Hospital at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital. Her current clinical practice is dedicated to private medicine delivered in the UK for national and international patients.

She is also a Professor at Medical University of Gdansk, Poland and was an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Cancer Studies at Kings College London.

Professor Dworakowska received the title of professor of medicine from Polish President Mr Duda. She is a member of Polish Academy of Science. She has published a significant amount of original research papers, reviews, and book chapters.

She acted as a Fund Adviser for Kings College Hospital Charity ‘Endocrine Cancer Research Fund’. Charitable work is an important part of her practice.

She was awarded multiple international awards/fellowships from eg. Foundation for Polish Science, EU grants, TOP 500 Innovators in Research Commercialization (Oxford and Cambridge).
