About Ms Marielle Nobbenhuis

Marielle Nobbenhuis is a gynaecological oncology surgeon. She also works at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. She was trained in the Netherlands and completed her subspecialty training at Barts Hospital and The Royal Marsden Hospital in London in 2009. Her PhD thesis (completed Cum Laude) on Human Papilloma Virus and cervical cancer resulted in 2 first author Lancet papers.

She is a certified robotic surgeon and proctor for gynaecological surgeons in the UK and Europe. She is the past president of BIARGS (British and Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons) and currently on the board of SERGS (Society of European Gynaecological Robotic Surgeons). Marielle is the subspecialty training programme director for gynaecological oncology surgeons, involved in the development of both specialist and robotic curriculum. She is PI of several surgical studies. Marielle is passionate about improving inequality in women's health care in and outside cancer treatment, improve survivorship and access to robotic surgery.

Marielle is married and has 2 children. In her free time she likes skiing, sailing and enjoying company of friends and family.
