About Miss Asli Ucyigit

Miss Asli Üçyigit is a Consultant Gynaecologist specialising in both Colposcopy and Gynaecological Ultrasound. Miss Üçyigit qualified as a doctor from Imperial College London in 2008, and during her medical studies was awarded a national research prize by the charity ‘CORE’, for her original research work undertaken in Uganda.

Miss Üçyigit’s expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and menstrual problems is supported by a two-year competitive research fellowship undertaken at King’s College Hospital where she focussed on gynaecology ultrasound scanning. Miss Üçyigit has authored several academic research articles and book chapters in this field and has been invited to present her work on gynaecological ultrasound scanning at international level. Moreover, her research work into the management of hyperemesis gravidarum awarded her first prize at the ‘Pan-London Obstetrics & Gynaecology Conference’ in 2021.

More recently, in addition to being an accredited Colposcopist, she has become a BSCCP and RCOG (British Society of Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology/Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology) recognised Colposcopy Trainer, teaching junior colleagues the art of colposcopy and cervical treatment procedures, and is currently pursuing her research interest into the use of virtual reality in improving the outpatient experience.
