About Dr Celine Lakra
Dr Celine Lakra is a consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. She leads a multi-disciplinary team in its neuro-rehabilitation unit, providing exceptional standards of medical and rehabilitative care to people who have suffered from acquired brain injury. She is dedicated to caring for the entire person; not only the conditions they present with. Her subspecialty interests include focal spasticity and the management of shoulder pain.
Dr Lakra trained in level 1 and level 2 neuro-rehabilitation units, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and prosthetics/amputation medicine. She undertook her junior training in London. She received a distinction with honors for her primary medical degree from University College London, as well as a first class honors BSc in History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine.
