About Dr Alex Wu
Dr Alexandra Wu is a leading London Physician in General Internal Medicine and geriatric Medicine. She specialises in diagnosing health problems in elderly people who are frail. Patients who she sees usually have numerous medical conditions which often complicate each other. Dr Alexandra Wu’s approach is holistic. She has been managing care for older generations at the Royal Free Hospital in London for more than 25 years. She is currently the Department Chair of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic London.
Part of her job role involves working in the acute admissions unit (AAU). To care for these patients adequately, she collaborates with her colleagues across various medical and surgical specialties.
Dr Alexandra Wu completed her undergraduate training at the Royal Free School of Medicine, London and graduated in 1983. She undertook postgraduate medical training in Acute Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Respiratory Medicine in London, completing her training in 1993 with a Lectureship and Honorary Senior Registrar rotation at St Bart’s Hospital, Homerton Hospital and Whipps Cross hospital. Dr Wu has dual accreditation in General (Internal) Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician, London in 2001.
