Who Leads Our Concierge Medicine Programme?
Dr Ruth Whitby is Medical Director of Concierge Medicine at Cleveland Clinic London. With more than 35 years of experience in general practice, she leads the Concierge Medicine service at Cleveland Clinic London.
Dr Whitby has a longstanding interest in general and family medicine, supporting patients through every stage of life. Her clinical interests include health optimisation and screening, stress management, anxiety, depression and caring for patients with complex or multifaceted health needs. She is dedicated to delivering continuity of care and building long-term relationships grounded in trust, discretion and personalised support.
Earlier in her career, Dr Whitby practised in Tokyo from 1994 to 1997, where she became the first native English-speaking doctor to be awarded a Japanese Medical License. She holds a medical degree from King’s College London, a diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology, and a first-class honours degree in neuroanatomy.

Paying for Concierge Medicine at Cleveland Clinic London
Your Concierge Medicine Programme operates on an annual membership fee which includes all in-person and virtual appointments with your concierge GP and specialist team. Membership fees are typically not covered by private medical insurance, though you may wish to confirm with your insurer. Any additional care from Cleveland Clinic London outside the concierge programme may be included under the standard terms of your cover.
